CDL A/B TRUCK DRIVER

Tasks:

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations as well as dump trucks; dump trailer and/or lowboy
• Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered at EOD
• Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately
• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible
• Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
• Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules

Skills and Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required
• CDL A or B driver’s license in good standing
• MUST have manual transmission experience
• Drug and criminal record screening.
• No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
• No DWI/DUI in last 10 years
• 1+ year commercial driving experience required
• Not required but helpful: enhanced drivers license, tanker, Haz Mat endorsements.

READY MIX DRIVERS

Riccelli-Northern, an American-owned ready mix concrete supplier based in North Syracuse, NY is seeking ready-mix drivers to join our growing company.

With a commitment to safety and quality, Riccelli-Northern offers competitive pay starting at $23/hr and increases to $31/hr based on driver experience. Experienced ready-mix drivers are preferred; however, Riccelli-Northern has a veteran trainer willing to teach new mixer drivers.

Qualifications:

• Must possess Class B CDL or better.

Responsibilities to Include:

• Timely to work.
• Proper attire required — long pants, steel toe boots, personal protective equipment.
• Daily truck inspections (i.e. fueling, tire light inspection, checking fluids, etc.).
• Inform management if any issues with unit.
• When ready, spot and load truck.
• Proper wash down and rinsing.
• Follow directions on ticket to jobsite.
• Assess jobsite conditions.
• Provide appropriate written documentation on delivery tickets.
• Ensure all delivery tickets are signed and returned to the plant.
• Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, have release forms signed if deemed necessary — ex: blacktop, concrete, bad conditions.
• Treat customers with respect. They are our clients.
• Warn customers about overtime charges if pouring slowly.
• Warn customers that chute wash down must be performed on the pour site property only.
• Do walk-around of vehicle before backing out.
• Go directly back to plant.
• Plant manager will inform you when done at end of day.
• When done, rinse out drum completely until wash water is clear.
• Perform post trip vehicle inspection and inform garage if any issues.
• Keep units clean, interior and exterior.
• Any issues with unit or jobsite should be reported to management in a timely manner.

HEAVY TRUCK TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC

The night manager’s duties will include oversight of the Syracuse Fleet Maintenance Shop.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Night Shop Manager

Reports to – Fleet Manager

Position Summary:

The shop manager is responsible for all materials, tools, vehicle and grounds maintenance. Must maintain a safe operating area and assure all material is in safe operating order.

Essential Functions:

• Manage NYS inspections on all vehicles and trailers.
• Maintain company fleet and make recommendations for replacement or repair.
• Perform quarterly inspections on each vehicle.
• Schedule all backlog repairs.
• Responsible for maintaining all tool inventory.
• Must perform inspections on all tools, welders, and building equipment to assure that everything is functioning properly and safely.
• Be efficient in ordering and delivery of materials, along with checking each order to be sure it is complete.
• Coordinate repairs with shop technician.
